This is something I’ve been considering doing since I started this blog and something I think is best for my own happiness:

When it comes to Fantastic Beasts characters this blog is exclusives only. What this will mean is that I will only write your with rendition of a muse and I ask that you do the same. As the fandom revitalizes – or doesn’t– this may change but there’s a lot of reasons for me doing this

Namely, I’ve been writing in the FB fandom since the beginning, though with Tina. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. Bust most importantly and a problem that I’ve faced regardless of characters: Is seeing duplicate plot threads.

Don’t get me wrong: I love seeing duplicates of characters. I actively try to encourage people I see writing my same muse and love talking to them. The problem I’ve seen when even rping Tina is that at the exact same time I’ll be writing a thread with someone someone else will be writing the same plot elements with another Tina. Same writer, same muses, just slightly different writing.

And I’m /all for/ exploring different way a threads will go. I know everyone has different writing styles and I enjoy reading those duplicate threads myself– But it does sting a little to see it happening alongside the one I’m writing with them at that very moment. It’s an anxiety inducing, “Am I not good enough?” kind of feeing.

There’s far few Tinas out there than there are Newts, but the thought remains the same: I just don’t want to feel a part of a “collection”. This is by no means against any one particular person and just something I feel. And as I am here to have fun in a hobby I don’t particularly want to feel like  I’m competing.

This may change: But this is what I’m going with right now.

When it comes to other Harry Potter characters and canons this exclusitivity does not apply. This is largely because right now with the people  I follow this does not pose to be an issue. Eventually characters I feel more comfortable/have a rappot with the writer on may become exclusive based but I haven’t decided on that one yet.

If you would like to be exclusives in this sense please let me know! And as always I’ll update any changes. I’m sorry if this seems rough, but it’s for my own happiness.
